Game Mechanics

What kind of game is Football Baron exactly?

You're a club owner — not a manager but a baron. You buy multiple clubs, build squads, compete in League + Champions League + Cup, and grow your football empire. Idle/tycoon logic: clubs continue to play matches and generate income even when you're not looking.

How long does a season last?

A season has 38 league matches + (if qualified) 10 CL group stage matches + 3 cup rounds = ~50 matches. With automatic ticks, a season takes 30-60 minutes in real time. You can watch live any match (full 90-minute simulation, fast-forwarded).

How does card suspension work?

Red card = player cannot play in 1 next match. If 5 yellow cards accumulate, also 1 match suspension. Suspended players are automatically removed from the squad and substitutes fill in.

When does my injured player recover?

Injuries last 1-5 matches (random). The counter decreases by 1 after each match played. Heavy injuries last longer; automatically heal at season end.

Cloud Save

How does cloud save work?

With anonymous Firebase Auth, a UID is assigned to your device. Game progress is backed up to Firestore every few minutes. If you change phones, you can continue with the same Google account.

What happens if I play on two different devices?

Playing simultaneously on two devices is not recommended. If the app sees a newer save in the cloud on the device you open, it presents you with a choice via the "Newer Save in Cloud" modal.

Is my data safe?

Yes. With Firestore Security Rules, only you can access your own data. Device-side saves are also signed with integrity hash (FNV-1a).

How do I back up my save?

With Settings → Data → Backup, you download all game state as a JSON file to your device. With Restore, you bring it back.

Ads and Purchases

Are ads mandatory?

No. All content is playable for free. Ads are optional only:

Can I disable ads completely?

With the Ad-free purchase, all ads are disabled in one go. Rewarded ads can still be watched optionally (for bonuses), but no ads are forced.

How do I get a refund?

In-app purchases are processed directly through Google Play. For refunds: 1. Open the Google Play app → Account → Order history 2. Find the purchase you want to refund 3. Tap "Request refund" 4. Google Play processes within 48 hours

The developer does not have direct refund authority. If there's a technical error, write to support@footballbaron.com and we can send a support letter to Google.


Technical Issues

Game doesn't open / black screen

1. Close the app completely (swipe from recent apps) 2. Restart your device 3. If still not working, uninstall the app → reinstall (your saves return from cloud) 4. If unresolved, send us an email; the error report comes automatically

I'm getting a cloud sync error

Usually temporary. Take a local backup with Settings → Data → Backup. Check your internet connection. If it persists, contact support.

Which Android versions are supported?

Android 7.0 (Nougat) and above. Installation may be possible on older versions but we don't provide support.

When will the iOS version come?

Currently Android-priority. iOS plan in Q4 2026, based on user feedback.
